On the Adriatic Sea, from a white marble column, the Madonna di Roca dominates the marina. Looking that from the sea, the statue seems to indicate the nearby cave-pool called Cave of Poetry, defined by the National Geographic among the ten most beautiful natural pools in the world.

A bath in Roca Vecchia is for connoisseurs: the water is particularly beautiful thanks to sources of fresh water that flow from the rocks.

If you want, you can dive from the boat and swim to the beautiful cave. It is precisely through the cave connected to the open sea that  Turks managed to become part of a Roca.

The cave was once a sanctuary promising rich gifts if it were healthy and safe on the other side of the Otranto canal. Going south, we find two Faraglioni that seem to have the head of a woman: they are the two Sisters, who according to legend suddenly emerged from the sea after two beautiful sisters drowned there.

In the novel by Carlo Stasi, next to the two sisters there is also their lover, Brizio, a slightly flat, closer to the beach, which looks at them with melancholy. The young man chased the two sisters to avoid them drowning, but he died too.

The legend could have a foundation of truth, considering that in this stretch of sea, when there is bad weather, dangerous vortices are formed.
